Mr. Nathaniel Bryant Picard

Nathan was born on March 23, 2006, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Douglas and Jennifer Picard. He grew up in a large family, surrounded by five sisters and four brothers who loved him very much. He was everyone’s best friend and biggest supporter. Nathan had a quiet spirit and a big heart. His family and friends knew they could rely on him for help anytime it was needed. If you were moving, Nathan was the first one you called. If you were broken down on the side of the road, call Nathan. If you were meal planning or going to the gym, call Nathan, and he would go with you. In every family game, Nathan was given the title of “the dependable one”—but it went deeper than that. Nathan found joy in caring for the people he loved. Nathan was a leader. Whether on the job site at Wiregrass Construction or pouring concrete with Picard Concrete, he worked hard and never settled for less than perfection. He did not lead with loud, boisterous commands, but with steady strength and determination. Those who had the privilege of working with him knew he was the one they could count on to get the job done. Nathan worked hard, but he always managed to find time for the things and people he loved. He enjoyed going to car shows with his father; collecting and trading Pokémon cards with his uncle, Joseph Long; and traveling—especially his latest trip to Banff with his sister, Alyssa, and longtime girlfriend, Annie Farrier. Nathan is survived by his parents, Douglas and Jennifer Picard; sisters, Alyssa Picard, Selena Cunningham, Lyndsey Cunningham, Emma Picard, and Natalie Picard; brothers, Caleb Picard, Tristan Cunningham, Colton Picard, and Nico Picard; grandmothers, Donna Long and Winona Coronado; uncles, Joseph Long and Blake Sparks; aunts, Nicole Picard, Jessica Sparks, and Amanda Elliott; and a large extended family. A graveside service will be held at Free Home Church Cemetery on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 3 p.m. with Bro. Patrick Hammett officiating. Pallbearers will include Doug Picard, Caleb Picard, Tristan Cunningham, Rashish Narahari, Joseph Long and Mason Emmons.
